So, this year is quickly coming to end – can you believe it! Yet it was still 63 degrees today… mental!
Not that I’m complaining – I had a photoshoot on Saturday with one of my Foggy Bottom friends Matt Dever, and I swear – the WORST thing about photoshoots is the cold!
… especially if you’re wearing shorts…
Because it’s coming to the end of the year, I’ve only got a few public shows left for 2016 – as always, the Potbelly Circuit from 12pm – 2pm
Tuesdays at Silver Spring
Thursdays at Rockville
Fridays at Tech Road
but I’m really excited about going weekly with the Potbelly Open Mic in Silver Spring (in conjunction with MightyHip)! Come January 6th, my sidekick Griffin and the Flying V and I will be hosting the event from 6.30pm You’ll be able to sign up from 6pm, or email me to reserve your spot! Details are HERE!
I’m also stoked to be playing at a New Zealand themed Christmas party (since, you know, I’m from there) at Black Squirrel this Friday night as part of the New Zealand embassy Christmas celebrations. I’ll do some live streaming from my Facebook page so you can have a laugh at the Kiwi shenanigans! Otherwise, if you’d like to come and experience what a New Zealand Christmas is like (kinda) you can get your FREE ticket HERE!
Besides that, I’m gearing up to get back in the studio with Griffin to work on a duo project, as well as some collaborations with a few DMV artists… and, of course, I’ve got the article coming up in the new I AM UNASHAMED magazine which is out Jan 1st, and is all about standing proud in your individuality – embracing your beautiful mess – flying your freak flag!. You can keep updated HERE
Have a great week, friends – and let me know if you want to get a copy of the A Taste of Emma G live EP for any Christmas presents. In the meantime, I’m learning Santa Baby and other Christmas classics for the next few weeks of Christmas parties… wish me luck!
Stay golden, friends
